This policy explains how RAINBOW TREE LLC ("we") handles information in the iOS app "Pill Counter: Count & Check" (Japanese name: かんたん錠剤カウント, "the app").
The most important part
Photos you take and photos you pick from the Photos app are counted only on this device. Photos are never sent anywhere.
Counting needs no connection and works in Airplane Mode. No account is needed.
Photos, pill counts, drug names, Rx counts and records are never sent to our servers, and they are not stored in iCloud.
The app sends only the following three things off the device.
| What | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| The text and category of your message, replies in that conversation, and a device identifier (an ID that doesn't identify you personally) | When you send a message through Contact us in the app. When you open Settings, the device identifier is also sent to check for replies | Replying to you |
| How the app is used (how far you got, which actions you took and how often, the kind of reason a photo couldn't be counted, and the share of yellow boxes per 100 pills) and a device identifier | While you use the app | Statistics to find bugs and improve features |
| Diagnostics when the app crashes (where it crashed, device model and OS version, app version) | When a crash happens | Investigating and fixing bugs |
These statistics and diagnostics never include photos, pill counts, drug names or Rx counts. Only numbers such as how many times an action was taken, and ratios, are sent.
Records are stored so they can't be read while the iPhone is locked. They don't sync with iCloud. Like other apps' data, they are included in whole-device backups of the iPhone (iCloud Backup or backups to a computer).
| Service | Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics) | Google LLC | Usage statistics |
| Firebase Crashlytics | Google LLC | Crash diagnostics |
| Contact service (api.unnovel.com) | RAINBOW TREE LLC | Sending and receiving your messages |

The app shows no ads. We don't collect information for advertising or track you across other companies' apps or websites, so the app never asks for App Tracking Transparency permission.
The app is an aid for counting pills. It doesn't judge whether a prescription is correct or how medicine should be taken. The final check of any count is up to the user. It doesn't calculate doses or give diagnosis, treatment or medical advice.
Pro purchases and restores are handled by Apple (the App Store). We never receive your payment information, such as credit card numbers.
We don't provide the information we receive to third parties, except where required by law.
The app isn't aimed at any particular age group, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page. For important changes, we will also let you know in the app.
Please contact us from Settings → Contact us in the app. Questions about privacy and deletion requests are handled there too.
