Renabook Privacy Policy

This policy describes how RAINBOW TREE LLC ("we") handles information in the iOS app "Renabook" (the "App").

The most important point
Your records (dialysis schedule, weight, blood pressure, fluid removed, access checks, lab values, emergency card, visit notes and the names of the people you log for) are stored only on your device. They are never sent to our servers. No account is needed.

1. Information we receive

The App sends only these three things off your device.

The statistics and diagnostics never include the content of your records (weight, blood pressure, fluid removed, lab values, notes, names and so on) or any Health data. Only information such as which kind of action was performed and how many times is sent.

The App does not diagnose, treat or give medical advice, and does not judge whether your numbers are good or bad.

2. What never leaves your device

Your records (dialysis schedule, weight, blood pressure, fluid removed, access checks, lab values, emergency card, visit notes, names)
Values read from the Health app (weight, blood pressure)
Backup files, the clinic summary (PDF) and CSV files, which you export and save or share yourself

3. Working with Apple Health (HealthKit)

Only if you choose to link under "Link with Health" in Settings does the App exchange data with the Health app on your iPhone. Every recording feature of the App works without linking.

What the App reads: weight and blood pressure (systolic and diastolic), to fill the morning and evening entries on non-dialysis days. Values you entered by hand are never overwritten.
What the App writes: the weight and blood pressure you record in the App. When you edit or delete a record, the value the App wrote to Health is updated or deleted as well.
Health data is used only for your records on this device. It is never sent to us or anyone else, and it is never used for advertising, marketing or usage analytics.
Values written to Health are stored and synced according to your Health settings. If you unlink or delete the App, values already written stay in Health (you can delete them in the Health app).
You can change which items are read and written at any time in the iPhone Settings app: Privacy & Security > Health > Renabook. You can unlink in the App's Settings.

5. Device features

Notifications: Used for reminders at the times you set, such as when to weigh yourself or take your blood pressure. Recording works without them.

6. Ads and tracking

The App shows no ads. It does not collect information for advertising or track you across other companies' apps and websites, so it never asks for App Tracking Transparency permission.

7. Payments

In-app purchases (the one-time "Renabook Pro" purchase) are processed by Apple. We never receive payment information such as card numbers.

8. Retention and deletion

Your records are on your device. Deleting the App deletes them.
Messages you send us are kept to answer them and improve our service. To have them deleted, contact us as described below.
Statistics and diagnostics are kept according to Firebase's retention periods.

9. Disclosure to third parties

We do not provide the information we receive to third parties, except as required by law.

10. Children

The App is not directed at any particular age group and does not knowingly collect information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We will post any changes on this page. Important changes will also be announced in the App.
